AWANA CUBBIES!

The Cubbies program is built on two premises:

           ·         Young Children can and should receive spiritual training.

           ·         Home is the primary place for spiritual training. 

It is because of these reasons that the Cubbies books are written in a fun, storybook style that appeals to preschoolers. There are two handbooks, Jumper and Hopper.  Each handbook contains 24 Bear Hug sections along with six optional special-day sections. Each section combines basic Scripture memory with parent-child activities to help a child grasp a simple biblical truth. Each year the children in Cubbies will complete an introductory brochure that both parents and children must go over together.  The brochure is an overview of the rest of the Cubbie program and presents God’s plan of salvation at a preschooler’s level.

In addition, all memory verses are presented at a level appropriate for 3- and 4-year-olds. For example, John 3:16 reads: For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son
